House/garden, Home improvement, How-to, Reality
Whether housed along water or deep within the woods, cabins in Minnesota are as ubiquitous as its lakes and friendly, genuine residents. In Prior Lake, about 20 miles southwest of downtown Minneapolis, Chase and Brock Jurgensen have built a construction company that specializes in renovating worn-down and neglected cabins. On this half-hour series, the brothers (and best friends) find unconventional ways to creatively incorporate some of the old cabins' original elements, such as reclaimed wood, into each design. "We're always searching for ways to rescue bits of the past, give them a new life and create something amazing for the next generation," Chase says. He's the contractor, while older brother Brock is a woodworker and craftsman. Together, they modernize these shabby old structures into functional, beautiful escapes.
